Like in previous handheld console games, there are a number of characters returning from its predecessor games The Sims Bustin' Out and The Urbz: Sims in the City. Strangetown has a number of residents (called Townies) whom at the beginning of the game are not aware of the fact that the area that they live in is part of a TV series and that they are being filmed. In between episodes, the Sim plays mini games and socializes with other Sims.
